Biography
Joel Foxx’s warm and experienced voice spans 33 years as a
broadcaster, initially in radio before moving on to TV news for the
following two decades. His latest adventure has spanned a decade,
working as a background actor, including as a photo double for 5-time
Emmy Winner Rob Corrdry, and as a stand-in for Dennis Quaid in
American Underdog: The Kurt Warner Story, and in the new miniseries
Bass Reeves. Also on Bass Reeves, he worked as a stand-in for the stunt
doubles.
Joel added to his resume a variety of costar and guest star characters,
such as a doctor, church pastor, schoolteacher, and a newscaster (a role
he found quite familiar!). Joel truly enjoys the collaborative nature of
acting, taking a writer's vision and bringing it to life as the character
they imagined.
Living on his century-old family farm just outside of Dallas, Texas, Joel
deeply values family traditions and history. This connection to his roots
adds to the richness of the characters he portrays and the experiences
he continues to seek in the years to come.
Given that his family tends to have exceptionally long lifespans, Joel has
set a goal to work until he reaches the age of 100! Keeping fit, training
in acting class weekly, Actors Audition Studios with Lar Park Lincoln, and
immersing himself in local art and theatre, Joel keeps his roots and his
boots firmly planted in the Lone Star state with plenty of horsepower to
make it to any set in any state!
