Biography
Choyce Johnson played a lead role on the Lifetime series,” TextMeWhenYouGetHome,” Season 2, “The Deanna Cook Story,” as Vickie Cook. She also played a small role in, “The Ghost Who Walks,” on Netflix. Choyce played a primary role in Opal Lee, re-enactment of Juneteenth (created for display at the history museum). She has performed and featured in commercials, industrial films, voiceover, and print work. She started acting at an early age and continued in her adulthood, being cast in lead roles with theater companies such as The St. Louis Black Repertory Theater and St. Louis Acting Studio etc. She is equally entertaining in comedy roles as she is in dramatic roles, according to the reviews. Early in her career, Choyce created and performed in a one-woman show about the life of Madame CJ Walker. She titled the skit “Madame, Make Me Beautiful,” performed at the St. Louis County Libraries and St. Louis Public Libraries. Choyce is an active member of the SAG-AFTRA Federation.
She has invested in her training by taking acting classes, film acting, vocal lessons, and coaching. She’s worked as a writer, director, and acting coach. She directed a commercial advertisement under her company name, “Dremz By Choyce,” for a mental health facility website (2023) in St. Louis, Missouri. The company called “Center for Life Solutions” used the video for their company’s primary form of advertisement. Choyce is a great dancer, plays basketball, and loves to work out. She is looking forward to her next call for a primary role in an upcoming film
